A Valuable Vote

This month marks an important milestone in our country’s history, as every citizen is once again given the opportunity to effect true change. With the May elections fast approaching, Filipinos the world over can once again experience the power of democracy, where every voice is heard and every ballot counts. Respecting the value of the vote means wielding the power to speak your mind, to pay tribute to what is just and honorable, and the power to shape the future of this country.

Learn All You Can.

An educated vote involves learning all you can about each candidate. A discerning eye is necessary to filter through all the propaganda that circulates during election time—making an informed decision means looking past the hype and knowing the viewpoints, perspectives and opinions of the candidate you choose.

Exercise Your Right.
History tells us of the long and hard battle our heroes fought in order to gain our independence and democracy. Registering to vote and putting this right into effect means honoring your freedom, and your right to choose who leads the country.

Zero In.
Whether it’s choosing the candidate you want to support, finding out if you are officially registered at your neighborhood’s precinct, or just learning about what will go on in May 10, zeroing in on the details is key. Visit the Commision on Elections’ official website (www.comelec.gov.ph) for more information.

Inspire.
Being part of the democratic process sets a positive example to the younger generations—inspiring them to let go of indifference, and assuring them that aspiring for change, no matter what the odds are, is a good thing. When children not old enough to vote are aware of the elections, there is a good chance that they’ll want to also be involved when it’s their turn to cast their ballots.

Aspire to vote, not for the lesser evil, but for a person
who stands for what is truly good for the country.

SKI Construction Is Under Construction

Web building for builders: SKI Construction is our latest web project. Take a peak.

A Gnome Goes Hiking

This is a test post - of course :)

A gnome is a gnome, or is it? What was this gnome doing in the middle of the Santa Clara Mountains??

Shot on location of "Miyuki" in 2007. An amateur film maker's short horror flick. It's actually creepy.

It should be making the rounds of film festivals. My involvement? Well, you guessed it. Camera work (stills) of cast and crew.

The Friendly Wild Duck

Here's my wild Yosemite buddy. Always ready to meet and greet hikers - and of course ready for that treat!

While you really shouldn't feed wildlife (it's for their own good), "Duckie" here has obviously had much human contact. Duckie has no fear of humans, and even greets you as you approach his/her river home.

Hope to see Duckie again on a future Yosemite trip.
